tips
Buy your camera with camera body only. I’m not the biggest fan of the lenses that come in ‘kits’. If you get each product individually you’ll likely end up with a better starter lens.
Don’t be afraid of refurbished! You can save quite a lot of money, and if bought from a reputable company (like the manufacturer) they put their used products through an extensive service process! (+ usually have a good warranty)
Rent gear if you are on the fence. I rent lenses ALL the time. You can try out an expensive camera or lens for days, even weeks, to decide if it’s the right addition to your camera bag! There may be a local camera shop near you that does rentals.. or you can rent online. (www.lensrentals.com is my favorite! If you want me to send you a promo code to Lens Rentals click here and send me your email!)
